China Mobile Released Two Self-developed Chips to Promote Domestic Chips Independent Control

On the afternoon of June 27th, China Mobile officially released the world’s first fully self-developed RISC-V architecture LTE-Cat. 1 chip (CM8610 LTE-Cat. 1 chip), China Mobile’s first fully self-developed and mass-produced cellular IoT communication chip (CM6620 NB IoT chip), and the first full scene intelligent connection protocol for IoT pan intelligent hardware.
At the press conference, China Mobile Internet of Things, in collaboration with the Intellectual Property and Innovation Development Center of the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications, the School of Integrated Circuits at Tsinghua University, and Nanjing Chuangxin Huilian, established the China Mobile Internet of Things Alliance RISC-V Working Group to promote the development of RISC-V architecture in China and promote the independent and controllable implementation of domestic chips.

In addition, they released a new OneOS Microkernel operating system designed with the third-generation Microkernel architecture in the IoT operating system, with a core code autonomy rate of 100%, which can meet the technical requirements of smart home, intelligent transportation, intelligent industry, intelligent security and other application fields for high security, high reliability and high credibility of the operating system.
In addition, China Mobile IoT has also released the first fully intelligent connection protocol for IoT wide intelligent hardware, aiming to solve the interconnection and interoperability problem of IoT wide intelligent hardware, break down ecological barriers, and achieve cross platform collaboration.
It is reported that as of now, the shipment volume of OneChip chips has reached 200 million, the installation volume of OneOS IoT operating system has reached 40 million, and the OneMo module accounts for the fourth place in the global market share. The intelligent hardware product system has been preliminarily constructed, with an annual shipment volume of 2 million.
