Titan Telecom Collaborates with Adtran to Expand Entire Australian Network
Adtran announced that Titan Telecom has deployed FSP 3000 Open Line Systems (OLS), flexible grid ROADMs, and FSP 3000 TeraFlex open terminals to create a high-capacity, ultra flexible optical backbone network. The new solution enables Titan Telecom to expand its business in Australia, providing high-speed and high-capacity next-generation backhaul between data centers. The infrastructure supports the speed of the Backbone network up to 800Gbit/s, and the customer facing interface up to 400Gbit/s. Utilizing Adtran integrated software for network and service management, and utilizing Adtran ALM active fiber optic monitoring solution, this solution also enables Titan Telecom to ensure the highest level of service availability.
Matt McDonough, CEO of Titan Telecom, stated: Our new network is good news for Australian businesses and service providers. It allows us to quickly expand into new fields and reach more locations than ever before. With the launch of Adtran’s technical support for rapid services, we can help our customers stay ahead in today’s rapidly changing digital environment. This deployment also enables our customers to take advantage of new levels of automation and control. Now, we can provide a unified and comprehensive view of all services and resources, creating a seamless and easy-to-use management experience.”
Titan Telecom’s new infrastructure is built on Adtran’s FSP 3000 open optical transmission technology, including FSP 3000 TeraFlex. Using software defined fractional QAM modulation and adaptive Baud functions, this flexible terminal increases capacity and ensures the lowest cost per fiber path. This solution also provides advanced stream telemetry technology, enabling Titan Telecom to provide real-time performance data to its customers and help improve the quality of service for end users. In addition, the network also features an Adtran ALM fiber optic monitoring platform. This simple plug and play guarantee device can achieve proactive maintenance, shorten repair cycles, and reduce unnecessary on-site visits. More importantly, Titan Telecom can simplify and accelerate service delivery by providing intelligent automation capabilities through Adtran’s integrated software.
Erik Lindberg, General Manager of Adtran Asia Pacific Sales, stated: “We are helping Titan Telecom implement its plan to cover more areas and provide more value to customers. The new infrastructure greatly improves the capacity and ensures the maximum data throughput of each link. It provides efficient, reliable and flexible high-performance services. This will provide Australian enterprises and operators with the foundation they need to succeed now and in the future. Our ALM is also a key component of the new solution. It Provide continuous fiber optic monitoring in services, enabling Titan Telecom to locate fiber optic degradation and take targeted actions before any business is affected.”
