Swiss R&M Added all-metal RJ45 Connector for On-site Installation

Recently, R&M launched what is said to be an all metal version of the FM45 connector. This all metal FM45 Cat.6A connector is equipped with R&M’s EL fast installation technology and IDC wiring. The FM45 Cat.6A EL with die-cast zinc casing is particularly suitable for the construction of local area network (LAN) infrastructure, and even suitable for harsh environments.

Due to the use of a metal casing, the latest field mounted RJ45 connector ensures stable data transmission under harsh conditions. These include harsh industrial environments, rooms exposed to electromagnetic pollution, and IoT connections in halls and functional buildings or outdoors. It is also suitable for continuous Power over Ethernet (PoE) operation. The new FM45 metal casing comes with an R&M PowerSafe seal to demonstrate its suitability for PoE operation.
Customers can choose two straight and one diagonal types using the same wiring technology. FM45 supports regular cable diameters of 5 to 9 millimeters.
Another key factor of the new connector is its ease of use. The installation personnel do not need any special tools to connect stranded wires or cross-sectional wires from AWG22 to AWG26. Termination only takes one to two minutes.
By combining flexible cable routing, FM45 connectors simplify the construction of LAN infrastructure. With FM45, any length of jumper can be terminated on-site, and on-site installed connectors can serve as assistants for repairing, maintaining, and repairing local data networks. In addition, the FM45 connector can be rewired multiple times.
