Infinira GX Series Supports Paratus High-speed Transmission Network

Infinira announced that Paratus Group, a leading network provider in Africa, has deployed Infinira’s GX series and FlexILS solution to provide the lowest latency fast route between Johannesburg and Lisbon, offering 123 millisecond latency services and supporting wavelengths up to 800G. Infinira’s solution is deployed on the recently completed 1890 kilometer long Paratus fast fiber optic link, which connects Johannesburg and Europe, via Botswana to Swakopmund, where it is connected to Equiano submarine cables, from Namibia to Lisbon, and then to London and other parts of Europe.

The new high-speed transmission of Paratus provides unparalleled capacity and redundancy opportunities for network operators to meet the needs of elasticity and high-speed performance. This ensures seamless data flow, efficient communication, and uninterrupted business. Paratus is the landing partner of Equiano Submarine Cable, which provides multiple routing and geographically separated paths.
