Adtran and IdeaTek Collaborate to Bring 50G PON service to Kansas
Cooperation
Adtran and IdeaTek announced that they will deploy 50Gbit/s Passive Optical Network (50G PON) technology in Kansas. It marks a milestone in advancing connectivity in rural and underserved communities in the region. On the basis of deploying Adtran’s 10G fiber access platform and supporting Wi Fi 7 mesh gateway, IdeaTek has expanded its user base. And the latest collaboration will utilize the SDK 6400 series OLT supporting 50G PON to provide 10Gbit/s, 20Gbit/s or even higher services. This launch will support intelligent agriculture, IoT connectivity, next-generation telemedicine, augmented/virtual reality, and ultra high definition video. They are suitable for dense environments such as homes, businesses, and educational campuses. The cooperation aims to ensure scalability and preparation for future needs. Also it emphasizes IdeaTek’s mission. And that is to bridge the digital divide and bring reliable, ultra high-speed Internet to communities throughout the state.
IdeaTek’s new 50G PON service will be supported by the Adtran SDK 6400 series OLT, a high-capacity. More importantly, non blocking solution designed to ensure consistent performance as user demand grows. With the ability to seamlessly integrate GPON, XGS-PON, and 50G PON on each port, the SDK 6400 enables IdeaTek to gradually adopt new technologies while providing multi gigabit connections and avoiding interruptions. Its modular ‘building block’ design provides flexibility to customize deployment according to different needs, from rural households to high demand enterprise environments. Combined with the advanced management capabilities of Mosaic One, this solution enables IdeaTek to efficiently scale, simplify operations. And it provide users with reliable, future oriented next-generation application and service connectivity.
