Nokia Extends Long-term Partnership with Vietnam VNPT

Nokia announced the renewal of a long-term cooperation agreement with Vietnam Post Telecommunications Group (VNPT), one of Vietnam’s leading telecommunications operators, to upgrade and expand wireless infrastructure nationwide through a new agreement. This new agreement focuses on the Hanoi region, border provinces, and southern Vietnam, and is an important step in promoting national digital connectivity.

According to the agreement, Nokia will deploy devices from its industry-leading AirScale product portfolio, driven by its energy-efficient ReefShark system on chip technology, providing excellent connectivity, low latency, and enhanced network capacity while reducing power consumption. The scope of the agreement also includes comprehensive network management services to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

This upgrade will significantly improve the quality of mobile coverage, especially in border areas and major economic and social centers. It will enable people and businesses in multiple provinces to better access telecommunications and digital transformation services, supporting Vietnam’s broader economic growth and digital inclusion goals.

This contract strengthens Nokia’s firm commitment to the telecommunications industry in Vietnam, which is further reflected in its decision to establish Vietnam as an AirScale equipment manufacturing center by 2024. The center provides services to domestic and international markets, creates new economic opportunities, and strengthens regional supply chains.
