AccessOn Internet Deploys Nokia’s AI Altiplano for New FTTH
Nokia announced that AccessOn Internet will deploy its fiber solution and native AI Altiplano platform to support the new 10G fiber and Wi Fi 7 networks in North Carolina and bring high-speed and reliable Internet services to thousands of users. Also, Altiplano’s AI automation will help AccessOn accelerate user activation, automate operations, quickly troubleshoot, and provide excellent services.
The platform has been pre integrated with 15 top OSS/BSS vendors through Nokia’s “Internet Partner Program”. Also, its open architecture and developer ecosystem enable AccessOn Internet to easily expand and seamlessly integrate with new applications and AI scenarios. With the collaboration of our authentication partner Sonar, AccessOn Internet has significantly reduced the time to market for new users.

Altiplano is the most widely deployed fixed line access automation platform globally, managing over 20 million user lines for 200 broadband operators. As an open platform built from scratch for automation and big data analysis, Altiplano utilizes AI to learn network data, predict potential problems and analyze utilization rates. Also, it provides real-time assistance to operations personnel.
Altiplano’s open API framework supports Agenetic AI, making network data easily accessible to big language models and AI agents. Operators can interact with the network using natural language, while AI agents acting as “virtual engineers” continuously learn, analyze, and provide intelligent insights through Altiplano’s network tools and real-time data.
Steve Ledford, President and CEO of AccessOn Internet, said, “With Nokia’s native AI Altiplano automation platform, we are able to build an intelligent fiber optic network that provides high-quality services, accelerates innovation, and improves operational efficiency based on industry recognized best practices. More importantly, this lays the foundation for a truly digital connected community. ”
Mark Klimek, Vice President of Nokia’s North American Business Center, said, “AI and automation are redefining fiber optic networks – making them smarter, more reliable, and more in line with customer needs. With 200 customers now adopting Altiplano, the deployment of AccessOn Internet highlights the acceleration of the transition to an open, AI driven network platform that drives autonomous networks, accelerates innovation, and achieves digital transformation.”
