China Broadcasting and Television and Qualcomm Cooperate to Complete the Verification of 5G Hotspot Coverage Solution

On March 20th, according to the official news from Qualcomm China, today, China Broadcasting and Television Corporation and Qualcomm Technologies Corporation have jointly completed the verification of the world’s first 5G hotspot coverage solution based on the Qualcomm FSM100 5G RAN platform and supporting the 4.9 GHz frequency band, and launched the verification of relevant technical solutions in the 700 MHz frequency band.
Qualcomm China stated that this cooperation will help China Broadcasting and Television accelerate the full and deep coverage of 5G networks, flexibly meet the diversified networking needs of vertical industries, and reduce the deployment cost of 5G networks.
According to reports, this 5G hotspot coverage solution verification is based on the 5G commercial network of China Broadcasting and Television Corporation, and has collaborated with multiple device manufacturers to develop and validate a 5G commercial hotspot coverage solution based on Qualcomm FSM100, laying a solid foundation for further improving the efficiency of 4.9GHz and subsequent 700MHz spectrum utilization and assisting China Broadcasting and Television Corporation in building a green, energy-saving, high traffic density 5G network deployment.

This hotspot coverage solution based on Qualcomm FSM100 that supports the 4.9 GHz frequency band has many advantages such as high performance, low power consumption, compact design, cost-effective, flexible, and easier deployment of wireless devices. It serves as a “heat and blindness patch” for China Broadcasting and Television’s 5G network, better meeting indoor and outdoor high-density and precise network coverage requirements, and further enhancing wide coverage, large capacity and high-quality network construction.
