China Telecom and Huadian Storage and Transportation Cooperate to Build Fujian’s First 5G Bulk Cargo Port
On March 29th, China Telecom Fuzhou Branch and Fujian Huadian Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd. held a unveiling ceremony for the landing of the 5G bulk cargo port project in Lianjiang, marking the official landing of Fujian’s first 5G bulk cargo port. Yang Yi, General Manager and Gong Guoyi, Deputy General Manager of Fujian Huadian Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd., Li Jinguo, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom Fuzhou Branch, and relevant leaders from Yunzhong Taiwan and Lianjiang Branch attended the unveiling ceremony.
Fujian Huadian Storage and Transportation Co., Ltd. is located in Kemen Port, Lianjiang County, Fuzhou. The total length of the dock coastline is 1242 meters, and the storage yard covers an area of 400000 square meters. The total static storage capacity is 2 million tons, and the annual turnover capacity is 25 million tons.
In the construction of 5G bulk cargo ports, China Telecom has provided it with a 5G customized network “neighbor” mode, with a 5G+sinking exclusive UPF solution as the core architecture to create a 5G private network. Through two 5G outdoor base stations, a 5G wireless network access environment is constructed to ensure that the 5G network fully covers the dock yard, meeting the high real-time and bandwidth requirements of enterprise production data collection and transmission, video transmission, and other businesses, And successfully achieved fully automatic stacking and reclaiming operations for two bucket wheel machines, improving the efficiency and safety of dock operations.
At the unveiling ceremony, Li Jinguo, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom Fuzhou Branch, introduced China Telecom’s efforts in new infrastructure construction, as well as its strengths in cloud computing, “air, sky, land, and sea” four in one network construction, information security, smart city, and big data empowerment. We will continue to use digital technology to assist Huadian in reducing costs and increasing efficiency, reducing work intensity, and ensuring production safety. Taking this project as a new starting point, we will strengthen network operation support, expand cloud network integration cooperation, and jointly build the project into an industry benchmark for Kemen Port and even Fuzhou Port.

During this period, both parties also discussed the overall planning of Huadian’s storage and transportation production and operation, visited 5G bulk cargo terminals, central control rooms, etc., and deeply explored the operation status of 5G customized network bulk cargo ports and the development needs of subsequent application scenarios.
