Ericsson and Partners Launch Sferical AI
In May 2025, a powerful group consisting of Ericsson and leading Swedish companies announced the official establishment of an advanced artificial intelligence company with a focus on Sweden, named ‘Sferical AI’.
In addition to Ericsson, Sferical AI’s partners also include AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB Bank, and Wallenberg Investments.
Sferical AI, headquartered in Link ö ping, southern Sweden, aims to enhance the competitiveness of Swedish industry by providing world-class computing power for artificial intelligence through integrated, sovereign, and secure infrastructure for participating partners.
On May 26th, Markus Wallenberg, President of Wallenberg Investment Company, and Huang Renxun, CEO of Nvidia, announced at a joint event held in Link ö ping that Jenny Nordl ö w has been appointed as CEO, Anders Ynnerman as Executive Chairman, and Sferical AI is part of the collaboration.
