Huawei and du Commercially Release First Indoor 5G-A Network in the Middle East
The Significance
Huawei has partnered with UAE du to successfully deploy the first indoor network in the Middle East based on triple carrier aggregation (3CC) technology using LampSite X digital solution, achieving an important milestone in the construction of 5G-A network. The peak speed of this network is as high as 5.1 Gb/s, further consolidating its leading position in 5G user experience.
As early as 2021, du collaborated with Huawei to launch the first indoor ubiquitous gigabit network in the Middle East, and this innovation is a further enhancement based on this cooperation. This joint innovation aims to significantly enhance the capability of mobile networks and improve the quality of mobile connectivity in indoor scenarios such as shopping malls, hotels, airports, and residential buildings.
As a leading operator in the 5G market, du’s continuous innovation has achieved remarkable results. As of now, its 5G user traffic has exceeded 60% of the total mobile traffic, which is greater than the total traffic of 4G and 3G networks. The widespread application of 5G services demonstrates the success of DU’s network strategy, and the deployment of high bandwidth TDD triple carrier aggregation will bring unparalleled network experience to its users.
Remarks from Both Sides
