Huawei General Agent in Taiwan: Huawei’s Supply Chain adjusted

According to the Taiwan Media Industry and Commerce Times, Huawei’s notebook computer sales in Taiwan, China will increase by 45% annually in 2022, and the large proportion of high-end equipment shipments will drive the average sales price to increase by 45% annually. The doubling of tablet sales in Taiwan, China shows that consumers in Taiwan have increased their acceptance of Huawei’s self-developed Hongmeng system and application store/ecosystem AppGallery. In addition, sales of wearable devices and TWS headphones have also increased by 25% annually.

Recently, Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun pointed out at the 2022 annual report press conference that mobile phones are the business most affected by US sanctions, from the second largest in the world to others. “Now the United States Department of Commerce has licensed 4G mobile phone chips, so we can only build 4G mobile phones. Because of our continuous efforts in video and experience, it seems that some people are willing to buy 4G mobile phones. If you want to buy Huawei’s 5G mobile phone, you need to wait for the approval of the United States Department of Commerce. If it can license 5G chips to Huawei, we can produce 5G mobile phones and make folding screens.” He said.
It is reported that the financial report released by Huawei shows that in 2022, Huawei’s overall operation was stable, achieving global sales revenue of 642.3 billion yuan and net profit of 35.6 billion yuan. Looking towards the future, Huawei continues to increase its research and development investment. In 2022, its research and development investment reached RMB 161.5 billion, accounting for 25.1% of the annual revenue. Over the past decade, Huawei has invested over RMB 977.3 billion in research and development expenses.
