Juniper Collaborates with IBM to Enhance AI Driven Network Management Capabilities

Juniper Networks and IBM announced an expanded collaboration to integrate Juniper’s Mist AI with IBM’s Watsonx. This collaboration aims to simplify IT network management, improve user experience, and reduce operating costs.
This integration will combine Mist AI from Juniper AI’s native network platform with IBM Watsonx, which includes a range of AI products aimed at enhancing the impact of generative AI in enterprise workflows. This collaboration aims to address the complexity of IT network management, optimizing wireless, wired SD-WAN、 End to end client to cloud experience in various fields, including data centers and security. IBM’s annual revenue reached USD 6.275 billion and received a “good” financial health rating on InvestingDro, continuing to demonstrate its strength in enterprise solutions.

Juniper and IBM are collaborating on two internal IBM projects: IBM Guest Services and IBM AskNetwork. IBM Guest Services utilizes Mist AI and IBM Watson Orchestra to automate IT network support, aiming to reduce manual intervention in Wi Fi support tickets and quickly solve visitor Wi Fi network issues. The IBM AskNetwork, still under development in the IBM Chief Information Officer’s Office, integrates IBM Watson Orchestra with tools such as Mist AI to diagnose network infrastructure and end-user issues, simplifying technical data into executable insights for enterprise network optimization.
In addition, the two companies plan to explore more features, such as location-based insights and diagnostics, which may help with facility management and enhance user experience in industries such as healthcare and retail.
Bob Friday, Vice President and Chief AI Officer of Juniper Networks, stated, “Our collaboration with IBM represents a significant leap forward in AI native networks.” Ayal Steinberg, General Manager of IBM Technology Sales and Customer Engineering, added, “Our partnership with Juniper demonstrates how ecosystem partnerships can accelerate the application of AI in critical business use cases such as network management.”
Juniper Networks and IBM will showcase their collaborative achievements at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, and have arranged demonstrations and hearth talks to discuss how to use AI to optimize network operations.
