Molex Invests in CAEPlus to Advance Active Liquid Cooling Technology for AI Data Centers
Molex announced a strategic investment in CAEPlus on August 17th. CAEPlus is an early company focused on developing active liquid cooling technology, aimed at helping data centers cope with the growing heat dissipation demands brought by AI and high-performance computing workloads.
This investment advances Molex’s data center thermal management strategy by accelerating innovation in the CAEPlus BoundaryCool platform. BoundaryCool is a compact active cooling architecture designed to address the thermal challenges of next-generation GPUs/ASICs. This platform provides significantly higher heat dissipation performance and significantly reduces CPU/GPU/TPU chip temperature compared to passive cold plate solutions, while being compatible with traditional data center architectures.

The addition of CAEPlus technology provides Molex’s comprehensive thermal management product portfolio with a wider range of solutions to meet the most demanding computational requirements. According to the agreement, Molex has obtained exclusive licensing authorization for CAEPlus technology in its pluggable I/O product portfolio. The investment amount has not been disclosed.
