Nokia and Converge Deploy Data Center Solutions to Provide High-speed and Exceptional Digital Services
Nokia announced that Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a leading fiber and technology solutions provider in the Philippines, will use its data center Fabric solution – a hardware and software exchange platform – to provide future security for its new data centers in the Philippines through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technology.
This solution will enhance Converge’s network performance, scalability, and efficiency, while improving business agility. Converge will also be able to ensure that sovereign cloud readiness complies with regulatory requirements.
Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and co-founder of Converge, said: “As Converge and many forward thinking technology companies increasingly host AI applications, we need to ensure seamless integration with traditional applications. We believe that artificial intelligence workloads and high-performance computing (HPC) will become important components of our operations, so we are preparing our data center network to achieve high scalability and reliability. ”

The Nokia 7220 Interconnect Router (IXR) data center switch, running the next-generation SR Linux Network Operating System (NOS) and Event Driven Automation (EDA) platform, will enable Converge to drive operational excellence by enhancing network simplicity.
By using automation to reduce energy consumption, operators will be able to ensure more sustainable operations. Nokia’s data center architecture solutions provide consistently high-quality experiences while meeting the growing demands of AI driven workloads.
Paulo Martin Santos, Chief Network Transformation Officer of Converge, said, “This important move with Nokia reflects our commitment to continuously adopting next-generation technology solutions to provide customers with consistently high-quality experiences. Nokia’s industry-leading solutions will help prepare our infrastructure for future needs. The use of automation and artificial intelligence will enable us to ensure compliance and strengthen network operations to gain business advantages.”
Kent Wong, Vice President and Head of IP Networks for Nokia Asia Pacific, said, “Through our partnership with Converge, we look forward to playing a greater role in the growing data center industry in the Philippines. Our solution aims to enable data center operators such as Converge to leverage artificial intelligence automation to ensure unparalleled reliability and scalability, preparing for future digital infrastructure. ”
Nokia’s EDA provides improved response time and ensures consistent performance, even if it consumes less computing resources. The Nokia 7220 IXR is an important component of Nokia’s data center architecture solutions, designed to meet high connectivity requirements. It provides a fixed configuration, high-capacity platform, offering unparalleled scale, flexibility, and operational simplicity for data center networks.
