Nokia and Indosat Support Indonesia’s Digital Vision through Network Integration

Nokia and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) have announced that they have successfully completed their network integration plan, ensuring an excellent experience for Indosat’s growing user base. The project covers the major cities in Java (Surabaya, Semarang and Yogyakarta), as well as Sumatra and Kalimantan. It will improve the network performance and capacity of Indosat and help them play a crucial role in Indonesia’s Digital transformation agenda to promote economic growth.


Nokia is a strategic partner of Indosat and has helped optimize the total number of physical sites for its sub brands IM3 and Tri by 30%. Indosat has deployed sites in new areas, providing better indoor coverage and faster speeds. The merged spectrum assets of the two service providers have been fully utilized, with IM3’s performance improved by 42% and Tri’s performance improved by 170%.
Nokia’s latest AirScale product portfolio has helped Indosat achieve network modernization, improve capacity and operational efficiency, which will support 5G services and accelerate time to market. Nokia is also providing support during the design process to enable Indosat to maximize the advantages of network integration.
