Nokia Expands Fixed Network Connectivity Partner Program
Nokia announced that two leading billing and operational software providers, Sonar and Camvio, have joined its Connected Partner Program (CCP). The project aims to reduce risks, costs, and time to achieve, modify, and maintain interoperability between OSS and Nokia fixed network solutions. Sonar and Camvio have successfully integrated their solution with Nokia’s Altiplano access controller to fully support and automate network management and service delivery processes for fiber to the home services. This plan supports service providers in expanding their fixed access network business and successfully advancing their digital transformation goals.
CPP allows Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and network operators to choose the background solution that best suits their business needs without facing the integration challenges usually associated with implementation. This can include various management functions, including service provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, performance, and inventory management. The independent software supplier for this project works closely with Nokia to ensure that their OSS/BSS software solutions are interoperable, accelerating system design and reducing integration costs through high-quality pre validated solutions. The project also provides training, tools, and support for integrating, maintaining, and modifying OSS/BSS solutions, offering comprehensive access to Nokia Altiplano’s programmable and open interfaces.
Ray Bixler, CEO of Sonar, said: “The future of the ISP industry lies in the automation and seamless integration between platforms. Through cooperation with Nokia, we enable Internet service providers to use the comprehensive strength of our platform to achieve significant efficiency and agility. Our joint solutions enable Internet service providers to automate configuration, enhance network monitoring, and simplify key background functions, so that they can focus on providing excellent services and developing business.”
Camvio and Nokia’s joint commitment to open APIs has facilitated the rapid integration of Camvio and Nokia Altiplano solutions, helping to simplify FTTH deployment, “said Amir Heydarkhan, Chief Technology Officer of Camvio.
David Eckard, Vice President of Broadband Partners at Nokia, said, “We are delighted to welcome Sonar and Camvio to our growing Internet Partner Program. By combining our open APIs and advanced software defined network products with their expertise in backend billing and operations, we are providing a complete solution to help our customers simplify their operations and advance their digital transformation goals. Through our project, operators of all sizes can leverage top-notch products to eliminate error prone manual processes, accelerate service delivery, and improve overall network performance.”
