SENKO Authorizes Lightera to Produce SN ®- MT

SENKO Advanced Components announced on September 15th that Lightera has signed a license agreement to manufacture and supply products based on SENKO SN ®- MT fiber optic connector technology products. This protocol is SN ®- Another important milestone in the expansion of the MT ecosystem has enabled the industry to have wider access to high-density optical interconnect solutions designed specifically for modern AI clusters, hyperscale data centers, and high-performance computing environments.

As AI workloads continue to drive unprecedented growth in network bandwidth and fiber density demands, operators are increasingly seeking compact multi fiber connectivity solutions that can support next-generation optical architectures. SN ®- MT connectors provide excellent port density, simplified cable management, and low insertion loss performance in space constrained environments through their extremely small form factor design.

After completing the licensing process, Lightera is authorized to manufacture and supply SN to global customers ®- The MT fiber optic connector solution provides an additional qualified supply source for this rapidly adopted technology.

Satoshi Koyanagi, Vice President of Connectivity at Lightera Japan, said, “SN ®- The addition of MT technology further enhances Lightera’s VSFF product portfolio, enabling us to provide customers with advanced connectivity solutions aimed at supporting next-generation data center infrastructure. The expansion of our VSFF product portfolio reflects our commitment to providing innovative solutions that help customers meet growing bandwidth demands, increase network density, and prepare for the future of AI and hyperscale data center infrastructure. ”

Phil Ward, Strategic Marketing Director at SENKO Advanced Components, stated, “As AI infrastructure expands globally, the industry must have access to qualified suppliers for multiple advanced connectivity technologies. By using SN ®- MT technology is licensed to Lightera, and SENKO is strengthening the optical connectivity ecosystem, expanding supply chain resilience, and giving customers more confidence in deploying increasingly dense and bandwidth intensive network architectures.”

Lightera has joined the expanding ecosystem of technology providers that support SENKO’s development of connectivity platforms. This protocol reflects the industry’s growing consensus on advanced VSFF interconnect technologies that can achieve higher fiber counts, improve operational efficiency, and provide greater scalability for future generations of optical networks.

SENKO develops SN ®- MT connectors are part of its ongoing commitment to advancing emerging applications such as AI infrastructure, cloud computing, high-performance computing, and next-generation data center architecture for optical connectivity. This technology utilizes SENKO’s extensive expertise in VSFF connectivity and is built upon SN ® On the basis of the market success of the connector series.

Expand SN through strategic licensing partnerships ®- With the acquisition of MT technology, SENKO continues to support industry interoperability, technology adoption, and supply chain stability, while accelerating the deployment of next-generation optical network solutions.
