SiFotonics Deeply Cultivates the High-end AI Optical Interconnect Market

The construction of global AI computing power is driving the rapid growth of demand for 800G and 1.6T high-speed optical interconnects, and the supply of high-end chips continues to be tight. SiFotonics relies on more than ten years of continuous iteration of Ge/Si based silicon photodetector chips and integrated transceiver silicon optical chips to create a differentiated IDM Lite mode: independently mastering device design, core process development, and yield control system, long-term collaborative cooperation with the world’s top CMOS platform, and continuous service to global top customers.

Relying on this mature technology platform, the company has achieved global large-scale commercial use of 100G/200G/lane Ge/Si photodetectors; The integrated silicon optical PIC with integrated transmission and reception has been steadily shipped in bulk, and the 800G/1.6T IMDD silicon optical chip has completed customer verification and bulk shipment. The production capacity has increased by more than seven times in six months, and the output value index has grown. A comprehensive silicon optical product matrix with both receiving and sending has been established.

Facing the demand for next-generation computing power, new products such as single wave 300G/400G detector chips, 3.2T/6.4T NPO PIC, and next-generation Coherent lite PIC have begun to send samples to core customers worldwide.

Dr. Pan Dong, founder and CEO of SiFotonics, said, “The explosion of the AI market far exceeded expectations. With over a decade of technological accumulation, IDM Lite model, and support from global industry partners, we have benefited from this round of massive global orders, and our cash flow from revenue continues to strengthen. We have recently completed nearly $100 million in financing and will continue to invest heavily in forward-looking global capacity deployment, supply chain layout, and research and development to meet the new round of industry demand growth in 2027.”
