STL and Netomnia Accelerate Deployment of All-Fiber Network in UK

Leading optical digital solutions provider STL has expanded its long-term partnership with Netomnia, the UK’s second-largest alternative network provider. The two companies are jointly developing advanced optical solutions to support Netomnia’s capital-efficient, future-ready all-fibre network in the UK.

Netomnia is deploying a native 10 Gbps XGS-PON all-fiber network, specifically designed for scalability and efficiency. Alongside YouFibre and brsk, Netomnia currently serves 2.8 million properties, with approximately 400,000 already connected. At a deployment rate of 1 million properties per year, Netomnia aims to achieve its target of serving 3 million properties by the end of 2025. And it plans to reach 5 million by the end of 2027.

STL continues to play a pivotal role in supporting Netomnia’s rapid and efficient network deployment, leveraging nearly two decades of regional expertise, a robust global supply chain, and a steadfast commitment to co-creating with clients.

Through this new multi-year partnership, STL will provide Netomnia with end-to-end FTTH connectivity solutions. The solutions include fiber optic cables and optical connection solutions to accelerate FTTX deployment. STL’s fiber optic cable solutions enable an average cross-sectional area reduction of approximately 20%. So it improves duct utilization and blowing performance while reducing material consumption and carbon footprint. By integrating these cutting-edge technologies, STL helps Netomnia accelerate deployment speed and lower total ownership costs.
